‘We See We Follow’

In this research project, my aim was to delve into the correlation between
an individual’s initial visual investigation of a space upon entry and
their subsequent navigation choices within that environment. To achieve
this, I employed a combination of visual nodes extracted from reputable
peer-reviewed studies and eye-tracking data that I collected firsthand.
By merging existing scholarly knowledge with my own eye-tracking data, I
sought to create a virtual reality (VR) space that subtly guided people along a specific route. The VR environment was carefully designed to influence participants’ subconscious decisions as they explored the space.
